It is thought, that for every good soul born, nurtured and blossoming in the universe, a darker counterpart exists. No person who is truly bad considers themselves as such. They always have justifications, rationalisations that to their minds makes them the good counterpart.
Haunted by a dream that took hold during a fever that claimed the lives of his entire herd, Niro has become obsessed with finding his counterpart - surely he died when the rest of his family lived? It is his hope that in finding the grave of his doppelganger, he will be reunited with his mother, father, sisters, brothers - nothing drives him with more propulsion than this.
One-track-mind, focussed, like a homing missile. Niro doesn't stop to smell the roses, nor the coffee - he doesn't stop to consider his actions, how they affect others or how others have died in the wake of his mission. Few have dared to tell him that it's impossible to find his family, that they are lost, gone, even if he does find them, they will not be his family. They were cut down, bones bleaching where they fell.
There is dark magic in Niro's soul, perhaps deals with demonic dragons or the devil himself were made to spare him. Whatever protects him, equally eats away at any good. 
Niro needs not have a loud voice; he embodies the words "speak softly and carry a big stick", his demeanour, posture and air leave a person feeling weak - he absorbs the very light from the sun and life from your soul.
