Call Me Dinner... One. More. Time.

So, I came upon a lovely lady by the name of =PrimalInstincts who's the proud owner of Shamarya 479 ([link]) I saw that she was auctioning off the last pre-200 Kaaring breed spot to the lovely Shamy and I struck up a conversation with Primal about Nordies and how the mutations attract such attention (for good or ill).
Primal was a little defensive at first, assuming me to be another one of those, only after one thing. So I set out to bring some Christmas cheer to Primal and show her that we're not all troll-faced-grabby-handed-herp-a-derps, that there are some of us who play HARPG for the art from the heart

Fancied trying something new, been wanting to give the lineless art style a go and I had this idea in mind for the cat-inspired Nordanner mutations for a while everything just fell into place and I cracked on.

I like it, not sure I'll continue doing art this way though, it's certainly faster as I don't have to fiddle around with lineart all the time but if your knowledge of anatomy is as wonky as mine is well, it's harder >.< I did it though and I'm glad I had a shot at it ^^

This sculpture ([link]) inspired the poses/layout. It's from a collection of Unicorn and Pegasi ornaments called Fables created by Holland Studio Craft, the artist behind this one in particular is Andrew Hull.

Also felt particularly upbeat today because I finally made the plunge and applied to start my Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences. A long time ago I applied to become an RSPCA officer, I was invited to interview but I didn't go any further with the application because of medical reasons. Since then I feel like my life has been dominated by these things trying to hold me back. Well, not any more. 2012 wasn't a great year for me but 2013 will be. I'm taking a stand (as ironic as that is) and I'm telling Karma I want a refund. I'm taking charge and I'm reaching for the stars!
