The King's Finery by OpalSkye The King's Finery by OpalSkye
Part 1 in a 3 piece payment for a breed spot with 2405 ES Kingslayer [link]

I fancied having a crack at drawing some Dragon Tack for a Nordanner and since Reggy is still a bit young for that, I asked =BrindleTail if she'd mind me drawing a suggested tack set for King as he doesn't have one yet. She agreed and this is the result :D

I think it looks like a still (or cell?) from an animation, slightly different style to my more recent equine art but I really enjoyed it all the same. The payment requirement was 3 full body + background drawings of King but me being me, I'd added more to it than I am asked for.
Hopefully Brindle will like it ^^ I went with his teal green peafowl colour as the inspiration for his tack, King's colours are so warm and tasty (reminds me of coffee and cream!) that I didn't want to spoil or detract from him at all. Hopefully I've managed that. I did look at the tack breedsheets for Nordanners but kinda felt that a peafowl should have something a bit more over-the-top than the standard tack, he's a regal boy after all :D I've opted not to shade him so Brindle can eye-dropper the colours if she chooses to keep the tack design for King :)

1/3, next will be King under the influence of the goldenwing potion.

This dragon tack may ONLY be used by *NorthEast-Stables - =BrindleTail do not copy it! It's far more fun to make your own anyway ^^

Kaaring value of the above image: 3
-full body, coloured = +1

So sorry this took me so long to reply! I absolutely LOVE it!! I think you pulled off the colors magically without taking away from King himself!!! Or looking too busy or too many colors. I ADORE the feathers, he really does look royal in this, and you have to tell me your secret on how you made the saddle because it is AWESOME!! Thank you so much for going above and beyond with this, I absolutely love it <3

Ahhh you're so welcome! I'm glad you did get chance to take a peek (I was a bit worried you didn't like it hehe) It was a genuine pleasure to play around with designs and colour for this chap, you've been so kind in offering me a breed spot, the least I can do is give you some pretty kaaring in return :D

Hope to finish up the next picture in a couple days :)

Thank you for all the kind words  very sweet of you!

So kind of you to say so
I could give it a go on his trade picture if you like? Any colours or themes, accessories or details that you'd like me to bear in mind? :)
